My Journey at JVI Catholic English Academy✨
I had a wonderful experience at JVI, a Catholic English academy that offers a two month course to improve our English and personal skills. I started this course on February 11, 2024, and successfully completed it on April 11, 2024. It is not just an English course, but a place where we learn discipline, leadership, and important values in life.
Our daily routine started early in the morning with Holy Mass. After that, we had our breakfast and began our lectures. At 12 p.m, we had a short interval with tea, and then continued our lessons until 4 p.m. In the evening, we enjoyed tea and had one hour of playtime, which helped us relax and bond with our friends. After that, we had our body wash and gathered again at the chapel for the Rosary prayer. Then we had dinner, and after dinner, we had dictation practices every day, which helped us improve our spelling, writing, and overall English skills. On some days, we also had activities like role plays, dramas, speeches, songs, and dance. Before ending the day, we prayed and thanked God, then went to our dormitories to complete our homework and studies, and finally went to bed.
Life at JVI had both good and hard times. Being away from our parents, siblings, and friends was not easy. Sometimes we felt lonely and missed home a lot. But those hard moments taught us strength and independence. In the end, everything turned into a beautiful experience filled with new friendships, supportive teachers, and valuable life lessons. A very special and unforgettable moment for me was that I found my partner there, someone who made my time even more memorable.π₯°
During our stay, we also celebrated special events like Easter. It was my first time celebrating it without my family, but with my friends and teachers. It became one of the most unforgettable days of my life.
JVI gave us many opportunities to show our hidden talents through role plays, dramas, and various programs. We also had activities like forest walks and cleaning sessions, which taught us responsibility and teamwork. We faced academic challenges too, such as mid exams and completing Aquinas Level 1 to 4.
At the end of the course, we had our final parents’ meeting and certificate ceremony. It was both a happy and a sad day. We were happy to see our families again and to complete our journey successfully. But it was also very emotional because we had to say goodbye to our friends. That moment was one of the hardest, as we had built such strong bonds together.
JVI is truly a great academy to improve our English skills and grow as individuals. It gave me unforgettable memories, strong friendships, life lessons, and even a very special partner and experiences that I will always carry with me.✨
