Image
Hi everyone! πŸ™ŒπŸ» School life is one of the most precious journeys in anyone’s life. I am truly proud to say that my journey at Ch/ Carmel Girls’ Central College has been unforgettable. I am proud to be a “ Carmelian”,  and my school has shaped me into who I am today. From my junior years to my senior years, I was deeply involved in many activities. One of the most special parts of my life was being a member of the dancing team. I performed all kinds of dances and proudly played the main drum of Kandyan dance, “ geta bera ,” representing my school in many All Island dancing competitions. Those moments on stage brought me confidence, discipline, and so much joy. Apart from dancing, I was also part of the school choir, where I shared my love for hymns and Jesus.  I also participated in the Eastern Band, which was another wonderful experience in my school journey.  I was honored to serve my school as a prefect and as the Deputy Minister of Physical Resources and Disaster Ma...

My experience teaching little ones πŸ₯°πŸ’

Hi everyone! πŸ™ŒπŸ» Working as a teacher with young children at St. John Paul II English Medium College, Chilaw has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Every day brought new surprises, challenges, and joys as I guided little ones through their first steps in learning. From helping them recognize letters and numbers to encouraging creativity through art and play. I saw directly, how small moments can have a big impact on their development. Patience, understanding, and empathy became my most important tools. Each child has a unique personality and learning style, so I learned to adapt my approach to meet their individual needs. Watching them grasp a new concept, share with friends, or simply smile with pride made all the effort worthwhile. Apart from teaching, I also got to participate in many school activities and events. We had sports meets, cultural events, concerts, annual trips, and other fun functions. These moments were full of laughter, teamwork, and learning ou...

My Early Childhood Education Diploma Experience ✨

Image
Hi everyone! πŸ™ŒπŸ» I recently completed my Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and it has been a life-changing experience. From the very first day, I was fascinated by how much impact early learning has on a child’s development. Every lesson, activity, presentation, and assignment taught me something new about nurturing young minds.  During the course, I learned not only about child development theories and teaching techniques but also about patience, creativity, and empathy. The practical sessions, where I worked directly with children, were especially memorable. They taught me how to adapt to different learning styles, manage a classroom, and make learning fun and meaningful. Apart from academics, we also participated in campus events like “Avurudu celebrations” and “concerts”, which were full of joy, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. These experiences helped me grow socially and created bonds with classmates that made the journey even more special. This diploma has strength...

Wrapped in Elegance – My love for Indian dressing ✨

Image
Hi everyone! πŸ™ŒπŸ» There is something truly magical about Indian dressing. Every time I wear an Indian outfit, I feel a different kind of beauty and confidence within myself. It’s not just about fashion, it’s about grace, culture, and expressing who I am. I love the way the fabrics flow, the colors shine, and the designs tell a story. Whether it’s a saree, lehenga, or a simple salwar, each outfit makes me feel elegant and special in my own way. The small details, like embroidery and accessories, make everything even more beautiful. Wearing Indian dresses gives me a feeling of tradition and pride. It connects me to a rich culture and makes every moment feel more meaningful. It’s not just a style, I like it’s something I truly enjoy and feel comfortable in. For me, dressing in Indian style is not just about looking good, it’s about feeling beautiful, confident, and happy in my own skin. ✨

More than a teacher, the soul of my journeyπŸ₯Ή❤️

Hi everyone! πŸ™ŒπŸ» In life, we meet many teachers, but only a few stay in our hearts forever. My dancing teacher, Janaki Kumari, is one of those rare and precious people. She is not just a teacher to us. She is truly our second mom. From the very beginning, she has been with us not only as a teacher but also as a friend. She laughs with us, understands us, and supports us in every moment. Her love and care make us feel safe, strong, and confident, just like a real family. During my A/L days, I went to school mainly because of her. Every morning, we would go early to the dancing room just to see her face. That small moment gave us so much happiness and energy for the whole day. That is the beautiful bond we share with her, something very rare and special. She always shares everything she has with us. Even when it comes to food, she never thinks about herself first. She gives to us before she eats, making sure we are happy and satisfied. We sit together and eat as one family, laughing an...
